Tell Me Lies

They tell new lies
to cover the old ones,
layers of dust
on a floor that still creaks
when you walk across it.

Truth waits.
Silent.
Patient.

Because lies rot.
And when they rot,
they reveal
the very thing
they were born to hide.

You can stack a mountain
of stories,
but one sunrise
is enough
to expose every shadow.

They tell new lies,
but truth
never forgets
its way home.
