Fading Light

For a minute, light broke through the gray,
A soft breath in the weight of the day.
Laughter returned, fragile but real,
Wounds seemed like they might start to heal.

For a minute, I stood on steady ground,
The noise inside me lost its sound.
I saw the world with clearer eyes,
No longer drowning in my cries.

For a minute, I believed again,
In peace, in love, in fewer pains.
Hope sat gently beside my fear,
And joy, once distant, drew so near.

But minutes pass as minutes do,
And shadows came to blur the view.
What felt like rising turned to fall,
And silence swallowed up it all.

Still, even if it did not stay,
I will fight to find another day.
Because one minute showed me light,
And maybe that was worth the night.

P.S. Even if the light fades, it does not mean it lied.

Some things come to remind us that healing is still possible, however brief.

Aloe Lips with Jojoba won’t fix the ache, but it is one gentle way to remind yourself:

you still deserve softness.
