clear and true
I gave with hands that never shook,
A heart unarmed, a steady look.
No games, no masks, no need to lie,
Just open truth beneath the sky.
You saw the light, then snuffed it out,
Twisted love and turned to doubt.
Your words were knives, your silence worse,
Each moment carved into a curse.
I stayed, still hoping wrong would bend,
Believing love could somehow mend.
But truth cannot dance in rooms of smoke,
Where every vow is just a joke.
You gaslit stars right out the night,
Made wrong feel right, and dark seem light.
You lied, you left, you crossed the line,
Yet claimed the fault was always mine.
Still, I remember, clear and true,
The love I gave, the good I knew.
Though scarred, I rise, my soul intact,
And I will never forget that.
