Ties That Fade

He once held tight with open hands,
Believed in love, in whispered plans.
He gave, he fought, he stood so tall,
But learned too well the cost of all.

Through scars unseen, through nights alone,
He found the strength to stand on stone.
No longer bound by ties that fade,
He walked away, no love betrayed.

And now he stands, a different man,
No longer lost, no master’s plan.
For once he’s gone, he won’t return,
His lesson learned—his bridges burned.
