No Pressure. No Diamond.
God, You hold the heavens in Your hand,
Stars obey Your whispered command.
You spoke, and worlds leapt into light,
Yet, here I am, trembling in the night.
You are all-powerful, I know it’s true,
Mountains bow down, the skies sing to You.
But in this moment, where pain cuts deep,
I wonder why my pleas You seem to keep.
I approach strangers, heart laid bare,
With hope they'll listen, with hope they'll care.
But their eyes turn cold, their words grow thin,
And I’m left outside, aching within.
The cold market lives up to its name,
Every “No” ignites rejection's flame.
God, You could spare me this bitter sting,
Yet, You let me wrestle with what it brings.
Is there a lesson hidden in this pain?
A seed to plant, though I feel the strain?
Do You refine me with every tear,
So I may grow stronger year by year?
Though the frost bites and hope feels frail,
I trust, somehow, that love won’t fail.
You walk with me through this chilling test,
Teaching me patience, trusting Your best.
God, if rejection is what I must face,
Grant me courage, wrapped in Your grace.
And though the market remains cold as stone,
Let me remember—I am never alone.
