Shadows and Light
The mirror shows the cracks and lines,
Whispers of doubts in endless binds,
Shadows speak, so dark and deep,
Of flaws that in my soul, they seep.
Wearing the weight of every scar,
A heavy heart, a distant star,
Yet somewhere in the night, a spark,
Flickers faint, but leaves a mark.
More than what the voices say,
A story grows with each new day,
Every breath, a chance to rise,
To view the world with softer eyes.
Through the dark, a seed will grow,
Hope’s quiet need begins to show,
Light emerges from the pain,
Nurtured by both sun and rain.
Walking on this path alone,
Not forsaken, nor unknown,
Strength within my heart does dwell,
A wish that softly bids farewell.
To fears that held me close and tight,
Goodbye, I’ll seek the morning light,
More than what the mirror shows,
In every flaw, true beauty grows.
