Expose The Wrong

With conscience as a compass, heart astray,
We walk a tightrope, twilight turns to gray.
The path of virtue, paved with shadows deep,
Where whispers tempt us secrets dark to keep.

To speak the truth, a whistle in the night,
Expose the wrong, and face the coming fight.
The guilty squirm, their power held to task,
A heavy burden, a thankless, lonely mask.

The world's a tapestry, threads of wrong entwined,
To mend a tear, a strand we leave behind.
The cost of justice, a gamble, hearts in doubt,
Will virtue triumph, or is right cast out?

But in the silence, where shadows hold their sway,
A flicker grows, a dawning of the day.
For courage ignites, a spark that spreads afar,
One act of right can mend a world's deep scar.

So let us walk, though fear may chill our soul,
The right may feel like crime, but makes us whole.
For in the darkness, where shadows twist and turn,
The embers of our conscience brightly burn.
