Achieng

In the heart of Kadongo, bold Achieng reigns,
With a spirit fierce, she shuns compassion's chains.
Her stride is strong, her gaze intense,
A belief in strength, devoid of pretense.

She scoffs at kindness, deems it a flaw,
In her world, toughness is the only law.
Compassion, she claims, is a feeble trait,
For those who lack the courage to dictate.

But beneath her facade, a tale untold,
Of scars and wounds, hidden from behold.
For Achieng, too, once yearned for grace,
But life's harsh blows hardened her face.

Yet in the depths of her guarded soul,
Lurks a longing for kindness to make her whole.
But pride, a barrier she cannot forsake,
Keeps her from the solace that compassion could make.

So she stands firm, in her fortress of might,
Ignoring the whispers of empathy's light.
But deep down, she knows, in her silent retreat,
That compassion's embrace is what she truly seeks.
