Haluwa
Lived Haluwa, in her quiet ways.
With eyes that gleamed, yet heart unsure,
She wandered through life, seeking a cure.
In the realm of learning, she found her space,
But shadows lingered, casting a trace.
For hunger stalked the classroom door,
A silent pain, it couldn't ignore.
Then came Wawira Njiru, a beacon bright,
With courage fierce, and guiding light.
She spoke of change, of hope, of might,
Inspiring souls to stand and fight.
With passion burning, Wawira Njiru spoke,
Of turning away from hunger's yoke.
She showed the students, young and brave,
That dignity lies in being saved.
Haluwa watched with keen intent,
Her doubts now shaken, her heart content.
For in Wawira Njiru's words, she found the key,
To understanding and empathy.
She learned that shame should never be,
A weapon wielded carelessly.
For turning away from pain's cruel sting,
Is not weakness, but a brave thing.
So Haluwa vowed to spread the word,
That no one's voice should go unheard.
For in the face of hurt and plight,
Turning away can be a beacon of light.
