Guilt and Pain
In shadows deep, where sorrow thrives,
A soul in turmoil, struggles to forgive,
Mistakes of past, like chains they bind,
A heart weighed down, by burdens unkind.
For time misspent, regrets abound,
Each moment lost, a mournful sound,
But in the darkness, a plea is made,
To find the light, and let love cascade.
Oh, Lord of mercy, guide this soul,
Teach the art of self-forgiveness whole,
Let grace descend, like gentle rain,
Washing away all guilt and pain.
With each new dawn, a chance to heal,
To mend the wounds, and peace reveal,
For in forgiveness, freedom lies,
To lift the spirit, and let it rise.
So let forgiveness bloom within,
A balm for wounds, a cleansing wind,
And as the heart finds solace true,
May love and joy be born anew.
